Kumiko Frame

Kumiko is the traditional Japanese craft of building small pieces of wood into beautiful and

functional lattice patterns. In this course students will create a wall-hung kumiko panel and

frame, working with specialized kumiko jigs and chisels. Students will choose from three set

patterns for their panels. You'll learn to build not only the panel but also the frame to house it.

This class runs from 8:30 am to 1:30 pm, with an hour break for lunch. We provide all the materials you need, so come with sturdy shoes & clothes you don't mind getting dusty. You can look forward to leaving with a beautiful framed art piece!
