Sculptural Lamps with Mario Messina
Create a one-of-a-kind sculptural lamp!
Students will learn to create sculptural lighting through the use of creative lamination and wood-bending techniques. Start with rough lumber and found objects, like driftwood or stones, and build a one-of-a-kind lamp.
In addition to bending wood and piecing mulberry paper for a lampshade, you will learn to safely and properly wire the electrical components of a lamp to code, while adapting hardware to the purposes of your design.
