Service Description

There are many ways to bend wood, from steam bending to coopering to kerf cutting. In this course students will learn to bend wood through lamination, the process of gluing thin strips of wood together to create curves and shapes that are difficult to achieve with solid wood. This will include learning about everything from veneer to glue to vacuum bags. Students will also come away with a small hook rack. Each day runs from 10 am to 5 pm, with an hour break for lunch. We provide all the materials you need, so come with sturdy shoes & clothes you don't mind getting dusty. You can look forward to leaving with a functional piece of art!
